Fraternal Society of Our Lady of Walsingham

March 21, 2021

Over the past year our parish has grown with unprecedented rapidity. I pray that those of you who are new to our parish have experienced the same warmth of welcome that my family and I experienced when we joined the Church of the Good Shepherd family three years ago.

If you’d like to meet people and become more involved in the life of the parish you might consider attending the meetings of the Fraternal Society of Our Lady of Walsingham, a fraternal organization unique to the Church of the Good Shepherd.

The society is a community of Catholic gentlemen formed to support the work of the Church of the Good Shepherd and to promote devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title ‘Our Lady of Walsingham.’

The society sees to the maintenance of the Church of the Good Shepherd, promotes special Masses in honor of Our Lady of Walsingham, hosts social and educational events, and conducts fundraisers for the various needs of the church.

It holds meetings monthly, from September to June. For details, see the meetings page on our website, fsolw.blogspot.com

After business is completed, presentations are given by one of our members or by a guest speaker on all manner of interesting topics, including religion, history, and philosophy.

Pizza and coffee are provided at each meeting. Donations for this are welcome.

Catholic gentlemen 18 years of age and older who share our objectives are eligible for membership in our ranks.

Sincerely,

Daniel Scott Walsh, President,

Fraternal Society of Our Lady of Walsingham
