IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Beginning 12:01 AM on Thursday January 14 Ontario will be subject to the terms of  a new Declaration of Emergency. This new regulation places no additional restrictions on religious gatherings and our Covid-19 Safety Plan continues to meet all government requirements. Since gatherings of up to 10 persons are still permitted we shall continue to  promote our Mass schedule. We maintain, along with Cardinal Thomas Collins of the Archdiocese of Toronto, that Mass is an essential gathering for the faithful.

SPECIAL NOTE RE BOOKING SUNDAY MASSES
(Does NOT apply to regular parishioners of Church of the Good Shepherd)

Demand for the Sunday Mass slots, as well as for the Saturday 5PM Vigil Mass, continues to increase. Unfortunately some folks are falling through the cracks! To try to achieve a more equitable system so that everyone gets a chance to attend at least one Sunday Mass every two weeks, starting February 1, we will be implementing a slightly different approach to booking the Sunday Masses. We will give priority of place to those who  have not attended a Mass at Church of the Good Shepherd on the previous Sunday. All others, upon request, will be placed on a waitlist for the particular Mass being booked and will, of course, get priority at one of the following Sunday Masses.Feel free to call at any time for clarification on this policy if you are unsure of the process. All suggestions are welcome for making the Mass bookings a fairer process.

CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

Church of the Good Shepherd has developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan in order to comply with Ontario Government restrictions for the current lockdown. This Safety Plan includes some new procedures related to entry into the building before Mass. Your patience and co-operation is requested in the following manner:

-Please arrive at least fifteen minutes before Mass and remain in your vehicle until 10-15 minutes before the start of Mass, at which time you are asked to proceed to the sidewalk in front of the Church.

-A Church official will guide you into the lineup, instruct you to social distance and provide a short Covid-19 Lockdown Briefing so that all government regulations are outlined and observed. No questions will be asked of you in this briefing. Immediately following the briefing you will be directed to enter the Church.

-Please plan accordingly. It is very important that everyone arriving for Mass attend the Briefing. After attending two or more briefing sessions, you will be added to an exemption list so that in future you will not be required to attend these sessions.
